About Plaisted Camps

In 1970, nestled deep in the untouched landscapes of northern Saskatchewan, Canada, Plaisted Camps was born from a dream. Ralph Plaisted, an adventurer at heart, sought a sanctuary far from the hustle and bustle of city life—a place where the wilderness whispers and the water calls. He found that sanctuary on the serene shores of Russell Lake, 165 miles north of La Ronge. Here, amidst the sprawling beauty of the Wheeler River and forest, a legacy was born.
About Plaisted Camps

A Legacy of Adventure and Conservation

Plaisted Camps is not just a fishing camp; it’s a return to the basics, an adventure into the heart of nature, and a commitment to conservation. From the moment Ralph and his family built the first log cabin, dubbed the “Russell Lake Hilton,” the mission was clear: to share this slice of paradise with others without compromising the integrity of the wilderness that makes it so special.
